You can't help but be drawn back to a certain sermon on forgiveness.
You couldn't do it.
Anger masks everything. You realized the surest way to be respectful is to give others the benefit of the doubt.
But now the joke's on you. And you feel like you don't wanna say anything anymore.
A light of optimism flashes upon you, telling you to be positive. You realized you won't be down for long.

Riders & The Underwater World
We celebrated our six months together circa end of last month. It was also the end of his finals so it was some sort of double celebration.
We had...
Eggs benedict at Riders Cafe.

He ordered the Wagyu burger which was gastronomic. Yums!

The cable car ride was part of the proposal I wanted to do with him.
Nick asked, "Afraid of heights?" I replied no. There was something telling about his question.

The destination was to visit the aquarium. I had fond childhood memories there as a kid with my family and really wanted to revisit it with someone I love dearly. Nick was game without hesitation.

I found qualities I admire in my boyfriend: his patience and his passion for things he love or believes in. He's a good man.
To many more adventures together! :)

By God's Grace
I've been radiating happiness lately. It's not gonna be another sappy post I assure you.
I credit my glowing joy to a couple of things. One of which is work. The others you could probably take a blind guess.
Each milestone in my life is associated to a change, a leap of faith, taking that extra step further.
I'm quite boring. I definitely don't want a tattoo or fancy piercing for vanity reasons. Besides, its a lofty semi permanent change which I'm not so keen on. I'd rather change my hairstyle.
For the first time since I was 6 or 7yo, my hair length has extended past my waist. Mum liked her little girls with long hair. When I had an opinion past 7yo, those locks were chopped.
I've grown so attached to my length now that I think the Michelle who never hesitate about having it cropped is officially poring over a mundane decision.
Mildly exciting, really.

One Altitude
Did I tell you I love heights? I love the liberation and exhilaration that it gives. Given, it's slightly scary and not at all the same if someone challenges you to it. Though it does add to the thrill in a mental sort of way.
My yearning came true when Gaston and gang brought us to the highest building yet in SIN.

He said we could see the whole of SIN and I was like this breathless lil girl who couldn't wait.
And he was right!

When we were two levels below the said heights, Nick and friends took a shot.

The fried wings with a spicy kick was a fave.

So was this lamb stew.

Pity the crowd was tame. It was a great night nonetheless. :)

Old is gold is sentiments
Since we left school almost a decade ago, we haven't been in touch a lot. But seeing them again reminded me of how things have progressed yet bits of our old self undeniably still remain.
I had missed them very much at some point in time.
Vinz HPY and my dear Winoa, they will always be. :)

It was a wonderful catch up. We've got to do it again! ;)

Hot Tomato & Step Up 3D weekend
Not getting used to sleeping late these days. Often times I'm zonked out. Okay so it's only this weekend and there wasn't any particular event that triggered this. I'm just saying my body is acclimatizing better than I expected to sleeping early.
But today was just mentally draining. I was quite tempted to call it quits after lunch and go home to hibernate.
The weekend was good. Did nothing too fancy but it was lovely! Spent time catching up with Claris dear who just returned from a Hongkong vacation. I thought she look ravishingly radiant! :)

Been a long time since we took so many pics. We settled at Hot Tomato, a quaint Cafe and Grill located at the basement of 313@Somerset building.
Seafood combo platter delighted yours truly with its garlic-infused pasta and succulent grilled salmon and dory fillet with two pieces of mussel.

Claris' lobster cappellini was decent enough too.

I've been looking at skinny linen scarves for a while now. I requested for Claris to get me one from H&M and she found it...
Picture on boyfriend is for illustration purpose. ;)

Aww doesn't he look cute? Anyways! Cia got me another scarf from H&M in Germany while vacationing there. Missed her to bits!

It was a really chill weekend through very bleary eyes. We collected my altered dresses from Doc John @ Lucky Plaza, tried different foods at my newly raved haunt and bought Book-Of-The-Moment i.e. Eat.Pray.Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
Dinner was Curry Noodles @ Old Town. I loved it.

But baby's Javanese Noodles is better! It tastes exactly like mee rebus with a kick.

Whilst having brunch the following day, I saw Ying! What a happy surprise :) Promised to catch up soon.
Mocha Irish Cream @ Jones The Grocer was too sweet for boyfriend's liking but I loved its richness. It came with a crunchy stick of chocolate biscuit.

Coconut pancake was a letdown and I had less than a third of a piece before Nick offered to swap his dish with me :)

Loved Nick's eggy dish.

Nomming baby.

Hanging out with Nick has opened me to many possibilities and his presence has enriched my life. We always debate. Most times, he doesn't let me score without a challenge.
Only yesterday we had another interesting debate of crépe. Food definitely tastes better with him around.

By the way, Step Up 3D was awesome. I haven't enjoyed watching 3D movies since Avatar. It's a great movie worth your bucks.
Met up with Winoa and Vinz last week and had the most refreshing and hearty conversation I've had in a while. :) Old friends are gold, they say. How true. :)
Hope you had a super weekend too! :)
