Pace yourself

You've more to do than you can possibly do. One just needs to feel happy about one's choices. The constant preoccupation with the things we need to do is the largest consumer of time and energy.

I prolly ripped that somewhere.

Oh how close it hits home. I'm deflated of energy and it's only Monday. I need a swim to clear the fog of marketing jumble in that lil space on my head.

Time to pace my footsteps. I miss the old times where there is always time to stop and smell the roses.

I think I'm caught in the race. Rather. Unwittingly.

A good harvest

Interestingly, I thought this year started off really well. I remember work, health and social life as being rosy and dandy. Maybe the middle of the year wasn't so memorable but it sure seems like it's ending off on a high note.

It has been such an intense year, attracting all kinds of excitement to the doorstep.

Some sweet energy is keeping me happily engaged in the remainder of 2009.

In general, relationships with people was brewed at an intimate degree. I definitely saw myself opening up to people on a different level. Either I have evolved or the people I kept myself surrounded with have paced themselves on the same footing as me. Works great both ways! :)

I may have lost touch with my inner self in some ways. Especially in the happiness department. What makes me tick? I found it tough to answer the question I posted. When things used to be much simpler, was I happier? Maybe. Over thinking things is just part of maturing. Whoever said that the mind is set for greater things is darn right. There is some truth to associating emotions with age - as you mature, you manage your emotions better. I call it experience.

Then there's that subtle but distinguish transition in appearance which I can't deny, makes me feel feminine and demure. The curls, the makeup, the clothes, and the grooming are part of the package. The talk about reliving the pixie crop was shelved momentarily. Just today, I did a casual bun of the hair and gosh I must confess I thought it looked so good I wouldn't want to snip it away.

This was an obliging year as opposed to a me-year, where internal and external changes were initiated and therefore resulted from people's expectations and demands. Did I live up to it? I think I did my best. A very productive year albeit laid-back and less zingy than anticipated.

Big changes coming up. By big, I mean life altering. I have a lot of thanks to give and I know I won't be able to finish doling out this year. The good news is, I'm definitely trading up. I did say happiness is a matter of choice, didn't I.

With that, well I just have to chase it back again. There are much more to achieve for twenty ten, that's for sure.

Just because nothing beats a failure but a try.

On this Sunday afternoon

I'm convalescing.

Oh my poor heels.

Made sound plans to head back to Sky to bury my nose in some promotions, flyers and presentation materials. Work on a Sunday... Feels like days in Uni. Unfortunately or fortunately, it didnt materialize. Feeling totally disabled.

I had some wicked sinus last night at KPO. Darn I haven't had sinus in years.

Thanks to Gid, I also inherited his ancient cough.

It was an excellent weekend. Coupled with cosy company, which translated into flowy conversations and comical moments.

I admit, rather ironically, with age comes a package of unique benefits.

I've had a ball getting the christmas check list out of the way. As of the Thursday that passed marked the 100% completion of the never ending gift list. I had fun choosing and wrapping presents! Never thought Xmas shopping could be this satisfying.

Zzz

Need 20 hours snooze. Urgently.

My Xmas shopping is only 50% done. Boy am I glad I crafted my shopping list early.

Many good news to report lately. Can't say I hope for the year to finish quickly. But all good things have to come to an end.

If everything goes well, I should be asleep by 0000 tonight.

Buzz like a bee

So many pending matters to solve.

So hungry.

So busy.

I'm dreaming of dinner.

In my dream, I'm chowing down fried chicken and gulping happy soda.

The Mcdonald's I've doggybagged X 1 is my only saving grace.

It totally does not make sense that my skin is erupting.

Maybe that time of the month is coming.

Healthwise, I'm planning on renouncing courtesy clubbing and alcohol other than events.

Last I checked, Terence created an event on facebook for One Night of Infected Mushroom which I found funny.

To go or not to go.

That is the question.

Retreat

I'm on an abstinence program from the online social scene (the exception being blog and msn). Too many mental ills to clear lately.

I'm working towards a healthier fabulous year in body, mind and yes, soul. What about you?

Slowing down the pace in the following year. More input on the corporate front which will hopefully yield a purposeful and larger financial output that will support the travel bug.

I would like to see more of the world and cover the earth with my trails.

That's 2010.

2009 will be another post for yet another day.

25 going on 26 is a huge ass difference.

intrigued

i can't help but be mesmerized by this particular person.

it seemed so wrong but i am slowly getting a lil transfixed everytime we exchange a topic of interest.

enter the factors that would have made all of these very peculiar are that

1. we've only gotten closer recently despite spending most of our time together.

2. i am beginning to see this person in a special way.

3. i've shared more secrets than i normally would have.

i chatted with a close friend last night about affairs of the heart. well, i learned something out of it and though it was really straightforward, it spoke volume. so just, "who do you think about at night?" was enough to invoke deep seated fears plus throw me outside my comfort zone.

perhaps i didn't wanna concede or that i'm being unrealistic about my feelings.

however that is, i gotta say, an inward response shook the nerves in tandem.

the realization isn't as confounded as it seems. i don't know what i'm doing at all, and it scares me that i could be falling.

i just don't want to know.

especially when it could be just a phase...

much in denial? whatever that works.

whiplashed@wavehouse

this was yesterday after work.

i brought my colleague, nick, along!

i asked him if he was ready for the flow rider and he replied with a semi-resounding "yeah!".

but then i told him "i'm not ready at all!" and it was true!

nick's reply? "haha i'm a lil unready too."

weeeeell, watch us go!

law was s'posed to have joined but he had other obligations at the last moment. it's the same with amanda. but all was good. in the end, i hung out with nick, some of law's and our mutual friends instead.

yup and i got whiplashed.
