not long after i got home yesterday, i put on a pair of eye mask and went to sleep, nicely showered. i slept for very long. 10.5 hours. on a work-week night.
friday is here but i already felt like sleeping the weekend away.
tell tale signs of over-exhaustion i think.
at this rate, how will 8 hours' sleep be enough.
*yaaaaawn*

erratic weather
we tottered on into the silent morning of yesterday. the weather was too humid. the cotton lining of my white boho skirt clung stickily to my outer thigh. it was a long breeze-less walk. warm as it may sound, wearied as i could be, it was comfortable. i was in good company. the red and dark star-less morning sky blanketed above, threatening rain.
sometimes we shared stories we heard of the towering buildings - takashimaya, paragon, even hyatt - surrounding the three of us. (i was with cia and josh.) most times, we trudged in perfect silence, acutely aware of the peace the morning brought. well, for me, at least.
eventually, we reached our destination. an hour or so dawdled by before the weather became unbearable.
this afternoon, it rained relentlessly.
if only tonight was friday again. the weekend was such a blur.

rolled off the wrong side of the bed
no matter how much i sleep, it just ain't enough. i do feel terribly sleepy and weak this morning. definitely not a good start to the end of the week.
my whole body aches. my back's sore. i haven't worked out in a week. however much i egg my body on, i seem to be hitting the ground.
i won't deny i do need a good backrub.
but time is not very kind to me today.
*groan*
hang in there, michelle!

too tired
to think, walk, or move.
what a tiring 3 days it has been.
and drained, i am so very.
BUT, it was fun and very enriching.
gonna shake off the fatigue with some moves in the gym.
im so sleep deprived. but im glad some things are working out - like our much discussed travel plans. very excited. hoping to make it somehow.
if everything works out, i'll be off for a short trip first, to redang with the Anderson souls then to Taipei with my SIM fam.

it doesnt make sense
i had a rough week. been sleeping very late every night because of one reason or another. just the other night i had a rather long chat with zoee and came to understand a bit more about myself. this girl chat is not to be underestimated. i never thought anyone could change my mind but she did.
i must be rather mad.
zoee had said things that made sense. but after having gone through a relationship for the third or fourth time, i now have clearer ideas of my future ideal. lets just say i am short of saying to be here at this moment in time and surrounded by good people is more than i have imagined.
God is kind to good people. whoever is over at the other side of the screen... please whisper a prayer for me. i need a gentle push in the right direction.
im so tired. but im happy. and oily. im extremely oily for a person on diane.
you wont get what i mean until i show you THIS PHOTO:

i cant believe i had just sat through an Ion Cell Spa treatment. at a somewhat dodgy shop house no less.
it is a painless detoxifying process that excretes toxin from different internal organs in the body and is akin to the endorsed plaster product by PCK that apparently attracts all the waste (aka positive ions) in your body via the sole of one's feet and replaces it with negative ions. how unbelievable i thought. but how intrigued was i by this crazy experiment that i couldnt say no. in the end, it was all a-okay and i expelled so much fats from my body i couldnt believe my eyes. LJ sniggered at me. i am officially an oily woman.
how could anyone have so much oil to excrete i wonder? maybe its all good too.
i know it looks highly nauseating because believe me, if it looks gross... try smelling it.
for the record, they had used clear tap water. the colour you saw indicated high levels of nicotine in my body. i was asked if i smoke but the answer to that is i am an unfortunate passive smoker because people around me smokes and there is nothing i can do but inhale the fatal tobacco smoke.
im planning on going back again no matter how dodgy the place looks.
things are all good on the work front and while its been a hectic past month, it had all been worth it. i gained some useful new knowledge and skills.
work on the spa front wore me out but it was a good experience and i picked up new insights on things in a general sense.
i had wanted to save my fish spa experience for ericia, cat and viv but i couldnt resist the temptation and hopped into one at my work place.

LJ's slender and very feminine hand.

the first few days saw the Garra Rufa jumping far above the surface of the water as they were only beginning to get used to their environment thus, the plastic sheets loomed over the edges to prevent the doctor fishes from accidental suicide.

here's a clip of my fish spa experience:
the results: skin were visibly smoother and brighter. also, the feet felt lighter (i have no idea why). the smooth effect is due to the Garra Rufa injecting tiny amounts of chemical into the skin as they nibbled away, causing the skin to feel silkier afterwards. my pair of feet is feeling mighty funky!
found this picture of terence and frederick and pulled a "photoshop" on it. turned out pretty fitting.
the colour coded affair during ericia's birthday some 2 months ago.

wishing i had slept earlier at the start of the week seems to be a cumulative ritual now.

july is approaching
as the years passes, the months whizzes by even more quickly.
4 weeks of 7 days each has become a whirlwind state of work and sometimes after work appointments that left me drained. lethargy crept in like it did.
no wonder people my age says they feel old already. "what nonsense?", i used to say. not that i dont see the point now.
im in dire need of exercising to fight lethargy. its getting on my nerves. tiredness is something i loathe.

indescribably tired
i just feel like sleeping in and waking up when the sun's high and up (hopefully not raining or i'll turn sleep induced and wake up more lethargic; the idea is to wake up fresh right?). at least, without tuning the alarm and hitting the snooze in the morning. god knows how many snoozes i punched per morning.
my sleep has been a pleasure deprived.
and im hoping to find it back tonight.
