Small change, huge difference

It was some time last year that I decided I've too much clothes, too many pairs of shoes and heels and way too much accessories and bags. Then I started giving away some of the old stuff that I feel I haven't been using much but still in mint condition. They aren't cheap but are way under-utilised.

This year, I decided to stop shopping.

It takes lesser effort than I thought. I haven't even shopped online once this year. Hurrah me!

Consumerism is not gonna get me.

RIP MH370

I've been reading and following the MH370 news so closely that I feel like I know all the people on board that ill fated flight.

A lump formed in my throat when the news of its fatal crash broke moments ago.

It felt like I've lost someone really close to me. Even if I've not.

I've been avoiding speculation, hoping for a miracle.

Life is too precious. Never go on a trip being mad at someone thinking you won't be when you come back. Because you may not make it back.

Learn to forgo a trip if your loved ones need you around. You may not be there forever.

My heart goes out to all the family members who lost a loved one in the recent crash. God be with you all.

An act of crazy

Did something totally fun and completely off the racket yesterday.

I signed up my girlfriend for MyPaper Executive 2014 cos she totally rocked all the criteria they're looking for - looks, style, wit, charisma and of course, high office quotient level.

I'm betting on her to get short listed!

Update: She totally got short listed. Yay!!! But she's not doing it. If being short listed is good enough for her, it's good enough for me.

Favourite twins

Totally missing my favourite twins tonight. Back in those days when we were staying together, everyday was an adventure. I felt like I was living in a dollhouse with life sized dollies!

And look at how they've grown over the years. For some reason, I just feel super proud of them even though I didn't do anything much except by giving them all my sisterly love.

So cute they make me so proud. Does it even make sense?

This photo on Instagram made me laughed. Too cute.

Haven't seen baileys in forever! Every time we passed by pasir ris when we used to bring Chloe to the pets farm I was always so tempted to ask them along! But I never did cos just didn't know if they were even home. Guess we won't be going there anytime soon after Chloe passed away.

What touched me most was how Rowena sneakily organised my 25th birthday and surprised me by gathering all my closest beloved high school & university friends! I love being surrounded by loved ones and she knows that. Of course she does.

They're crazy fun and we were super tight. That's why they're still my favourite twins.

That's us. Toys r Us and all. Barefaced and youthful.

These photos hardly ring a bell but I found them somewhere. And my crazy spunky hairdo! Growing up with them was really an adventure like I said! I think I must be the craziest ever-changing, ever-evolving sissy they never had. Hahaha. So much love!

Aimee made up the fourth leg whom I miss equally dear! We didn't always get along but once we did, there were fireworks like you've never seen before!

Our swimming days before she officially got attached with her Prince Charming.

Some time ago during one of our meetup. When life rocked just by us being there for each other.

I truly miss my Channy twins and Aimee dear.

Edit: I went home and digged for more pictures of our youth and found some photo albums! Not the kind you find on Facebook but the Kodak-moments, non-photoshopped kind.

When Roxanne was just a ickle doll! She must be 15 yo at that time. We were celebrating the ex's 21st birthday aka their big brother. My hairdo was all sorts of funky.

With my favourite pretty auntie. She was a second mom to me. We were really close and she treated me like one of her own kids. She was family. So were all of them.

Too cute for words. Women of the house!

Such good times, though short-lived, will always be etched in my eternal memory! :)

Chilly but warm

Weather was chilly for the past few days. Tonight was the chilliest night, I feel. Air conditioning in town was at full blast. Our teeth were clattering when we talk. Katt happened to have bought us new scarves. And boy, did it keep us warm all the way home.

Krabi with the girls in May

On spontaneity earlier today, I agreed to an all-girls beach trip to Krabi. Ying must have known I wouldn't say no. Well, I couldn't. Ying's a great travelling companion and I know I'm in good company as I knew almost all the friends that's going. The fact that it's Krabi and I'm a beach girl at heart makes it incredibly easy for me to say yes.

Also, I happened to have already taken leave over the Labour Day weekend.

We'll be staying in a beautiful villa with 3 bedrooms, shared amongst 5 girls. Wouldn't mind bunking alone actually as I'm already the odd one out. Pity Daffy couldn't join us but we know she'll be having a blast in US of A.

Copped these pictures from the site off Ao Nang Paradise Resort.

It's pretty modern looking. The place is huge. Looking forward to a really good time with the girlies. Woohoo!

I love Krabi. It's an amazing little island with clusters of smaller islands surrounding the peripheral. May is gonna be a hoot.

ASOT adventure

Good to be back in Singapore after 3 days of heavy partying at KL. I lived through alcohol poisoning, dirty toilets, glamourously purging my way to the party coupled with leg pain, back pain, hand pain (you get the drill) to tell the tale.

Would have been more awesome only if this didn't happen. First, the MAS 370 disappearance. Now, this. Poor Malaysia under severe scrutiny for unforeseen circumstances.

But we weren't affected. A few of them were gonna go for the last gig and obviously disappointed but we made up for it with our own kind of party. Club yo-ah-yo. At Movida, Scott's Garden, KL.

Pre-drinks at Tom, Dick & Harry's bar.

Almost broke my back running for our flight Amazing-Race-style. It was a funny chaotic scene for all 10 of us, racing against time to board our flight. Proud to say no men got left behind.

I was first to reach the counter. People were seriously staring like I was a mad bitch, dashing towards the terminal gate. Only after I slammed my passport on the counter demanding to board the plane was I told the gate isn't open. Phew. Like delighted kids, we piled back up into a group laughing at our crazy journey across the whole airport.

It was quite hilarious.

Too much had transpired in between that I probably wouldn't be able to catalogue the trip without any pictures. Some of the more memorable ones in my phone.

Wrapped in toilet paper, Terence had no resistance at all. I'm surprised.

Crazy Oh brothers. Crazier when they come in a pair. Shudders.

Poor girlfriend had coffee stache smeared across the lips cos of a bet. Background: A stout lover, she joked about having a moustache.

Stayed in a boutique hotel with theme rooms. Couples in the group get 'em. I bunked alone so I got the standard room but even then I was really pleased.

Jo & RZ got the Beatles.

Ling & Lucas got Monroe, the room I wanted.

Because it comes with an open bathroom concept! Super cool.

Happy party girls.

Even though I came home with sore shoulders and a bad back, it was super worth it to catch the trance acts in action whom I major love - AVB & Markus Schultz.

Reckon my bag pack was close to 10kg after filling it up with the cute mugs I bought at Sungei Wang.

I'm petite. But hardy. Still, the running around and carrying for long hours had its trade off.

Sigh. One bag pack did not rule the world.

Anyway, here's a happy selfie and a crazy selfie to conclude my awesome trip!

Last two group photos for the road!
