What I want for Christmas is You

It's been the norm lately. I've-been-so-busy-I-hardly-had-time-to-update-this-space.

See below for reference to what I've been up to lately...

Shoe shopping with colleagues. I copped two gorgeous pairs from Nine West, one nude and one black with sexy details.

Rudolf took on a new form this year, with antennae and a bulbous red nose.

At House, Dempsey, with my department babes in Military theme.

At Zoukout, with Ying.

At boyfriend's place with a very drowsy patient, after his hand surgery.

I didn't expect it to be this huge.

1 week later when the dressing's downsized.

At Pasta De Waraku, with the SIMmies and organized by Cat Cat!

With Cat!

Drawing lots.

Sandy got my gorgeous white Parker pen!

Ziyang waiting for his turn to draw a lot.

A few ironies were exchanged such as petite Cat with 'Go Large' mug...

And injured boyfriend with a hand massager!

Nick and I somehow managed to receive randomly similar presents. His from Gideon and mine's from Vivien.

Gideon giggling.

Gideon's automatic-handsoap-dispenser gift is the envy of many. Practicality wins. Trust Ziyang to come up with this brilliant idea!

This came in the mail today! From Essy in Edinburg. Love! I was touched by the effort, love and sweet notes.

And what I really want for Christmas is you... An exciting compact camera that works like a DSLR, in sweet lavender.

From my sweet and lovely boyfriend. :)

I believe it's the season of giving. Just don't forget to share the love! ♥

See you in 2011!

Birthdays

Attended Lawrence's 28th Bash with no pictures to prove. Why you ask. Perhaps I was more entertained with watching the man get smashed by working through glasses of potent cocktail mix.

Poor Law looked divinely happy though he assured me he wasn't even remotely having fun. And so we witnessed the turning of his age just like that. At first I was worried he wouldn't even remember I was there after having hollered loudly that I didn't bring Nick as I couldn't cos the boyfriend had Personal Training with his client.

It was fun catching up with people I met through Law. :)

That was Friday.

 ::

The following day, we went out to celebrate Cat's 25. I brought my friends to Eight Cafe, a supposedly charming lil establishment off Chinatown area. I thought it exudes a quaint nightlife vibe as I've been there for lunch once.

No pictures were taken as the lighting was really bad.

After dinner, we strolled to Club Street. Or rather, we packed ourselves into Cat's Subaru whilst Terence took a stroll literally.

We decided quickly when we spied on a cafe serving cakes and lattes. Their service in comparison to our measly dinner was so much more hospitable. I ordered their signature Tiramisu and requested for candle. The service boys took ownership and presented more than what we asked for :)

I hope we made one happy Cat that night :)

The sanguine long weekend

It just wasn't enough.

Caught up with Ying and Daffy over the weekend for brunch. :) Ying wanted to do Inagiku at Fairmount Hotel for her birthday so we went. I mean, we finally went. It was a long time ago that Ying wanted to take us there for a meal. Two years has whizzed by since then.

My lunch set was excitedly raved about by dearest Ying: succulent prawns with heavenly golden sauce, accompanied with fragrant garlic rice, and a ever tender medium rare slab of Australian beef.

We all had happy updates to share around the table but Ying had the most joyous news of all. She was positively beaming when she announced about her water baptism next Sunday which Daffy and I had already made plans to witness our best friend's finest moment. :)

The following evening was spent celebrating Nick's dad's birthday at the family-oriented Sangokai Japanese Restaurant along Upper Thomson Rd.

Freshness oozed from the palate.

Tried their signature Curry Cheese Baked Udon and I love it so much!

With my cute-as-a-button gorgeous in pink boyfriend.

If only the weekend was a lil bit longer. How I missed it already.

Hope you guys had a splendid week too!

Hot Tomato & Step Up 3D weekend

Not getting used to sleeping late these days. Often times I'm zonked out. Okay so it's only this weekend and there wasn't any particular event that triggered this. I'm just saying my body is acclimatizing better than I expected to sleeping early.

But today was just mentally draining. I was quite tempted to call it quits after lunch and go home to hibernate.

The weekend was good. Did nothing too fancy but it was lovely! Spent time catching up with Claris dear who just returned from a Hongkong vacation. I thought she look ravishingly radiant! :)

Been a long time since we took so many pics. We settled at Hot Tomato, a quaint Cafe and Grill located at the basement of 313@Somerset building.

Seafood combo platter delighted yours truly with its garlic-infused pasta and succulent grilled salmon and dory fillet with two pieces of mussel.

Claris' lobster cappellini was decent enough too.

I've been looking at skinny linen scarves for a while now. I requested for Claris to get me one from H&M and she found it...

Picture on boyfriend is for illustration purpose. ;)

Aww doesn't he look cute? Anyways! Cia got me another scarf from H&M in Germany while vacationing there. Missed her to bits!

It was a really chill weekend through very bleary eyes. We collected my altered dresses from Doc John @ Lucky Plaza, tried different foods at my newly raved haunt and bought Book-Of-The-Moment i.e. Eat.Pray.Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Dinner was Curry Noodles @ Old Town. I loved it.

But baby's Javanese Noodles is better! It tastes exactly like mee rebus with a kick.

Whilst having brunch the following day, I saw Ying! What a happy surprise :) Promised to catch up soon.

Mocha Irish Cream @ Jones The Grocer was too sweet for boyfriend's liking but I loved its richness. It came with a crunchy stick of chocolate biscuit.

Coconut pancake was a letdown and I had less than a third of a piece before Nick offered to swap his dish with me :)

Loved Nick's eggy dish.

Nomming baby.

Hanging out with Nick has opened me to many possibilities and his presence has enriched my life. We always debate. Most times, he doesn't let me score without a challenge.

Only yesterday we had another interesting debate of crépe. Food definitely tastes better with him around.

By the way, Step Up 3D was awesome. I haven't enjoyed watching 3D movies since Avatar. It's a great movie worth your bucks.

Met up with Winoa and Vinz last week and had the most refreshing and hearty conversation I've had in a while. :) Old friends are gold, they say. How true. :)

Hope you had a super weekend too! :)
