A season to be merry

Work was soul consuming but I survived. This month is the time to be cheery and giving. I love my journey thus far. It's been decadent and meaningful. Thank you all who has been a part of it.

Baby shower and Harry Potter

Nick's cousin threw a baby shower last weekend and we were invited.

::

True to its book, Harry Potter's Deathly Hallow re-enacted every bit of details and had me longing for the second parter already.

Who says you can't weave in original details when you turn a book into a movie? Learn something from it, Eat Pray Love.

The long weekend makes me TICK

A productive long weekend.

Unfortunately, I took a vaccination on Saturday and fell sick on Sunday. It was all I needed to propel the long-fatigued body into a well deserved rest.

Can't help smiling when I see this photo of Katt and JR. :)

::

Meeting deadlines on Monday is solemn. On the bright side, I know this will pass in a flash. Tuesday just come already!

Up to something

In chronological order, if you will.

Nothing much. Just Nick and I soaking up the usual weekend nolmacy. :)

Life is pretty nice.

Hair update

Boyfriend and stylist agrees in unison; ram rod straight hair is not my style.

Well at least black suits me :) Yay!

360 degrees change

I wasn't spared by Nick's concerned anguish for skipping lunch. I've done that a few days straight. The workload isn't forgiving. I've learnt that by staying in and completing work, I'll have an easier time later on.

Anyway we caught Love Cuts over the weekend cos I had two complimentary passes. Due to the initial hype amongst my co-workers, I didn't tear much contrary to most of them. As it's based on Mammogram and Breast Cancer, I was surprised to find out in the credit roll that 90% of women diagnosed never had any family history. It made me a little more self conscious.

Then we went shopping.

::

We did a photoshoot over the weekend. Will wait to see the final product.

Boyfriend's protruding sexy butt. Haha.

::

I was really grouchy throughout the weekend and Nick bore most of it. He was relentlessly patient and sweet. Aimee once quipped that she's glad I'm with someone who doesn't spoil me.

When we do squabble, it's like watching a ball game. I'm offensive and he's defensive.

That totally cracked me up when Nick explained it like that and we ceased fire.

There's something about Nick that's irresistibly charming :) I can't help but grow to love him more each day.

Birthdays

Attended Lawrence's 28th Bash with no pictures to prove. Why you ask. Perhaps I was more entertained with watching the man get smashed by working through glasses of potent cocktail mix.

Poor Law looked divinely happy though he assured me he wasn't even remotely having fun. And so we witnessed the turning of his age just like that. At first I was worried he wouldn't even remember I was there after having hollered loudly that I didn't bring Nick as I couldn't cos the boyfriend had Personal Training with his client.

It was fun catching up with people I met through Law. :)

That was Friday.

The following day, we went out to celebrate Cat's 25. I brought my friends to Eight Cafe, a supposedly charming lil establishment off Chinatown area. I thought it exudes a quaint nightlife vibe as I've been there for lunch once.

No pictures were taken as the lighting was really bad.

After dinner, we strolled to Club Street. Or rather, we packed ourselves into Cat's Subaru whilst Terence took a stroll literally.

We decided quickly when we spied on a cafe serving cakes and lattes. Their service in comparison to our measly dinner was so much more hospitable. I ordered their signature Tiramisu and requested for candle. The service boys took ownership and presented more than what we asked for :)

I hope we made one happy Cat that night :)

The sanguine long weekend

It just wasn't enough.

Caught up with Ying and Daffy over the weekend for brunch. :) Ying wanted to do Inagiku at Fairmount Hotel for her birthday so we went. I mean, we finally went. It was a long time ago that Ying wanted to take us there for a meal. Two years has whizzed by since then.

My lunch set was excitedly raved about by dearest Ying: succulent prawns with heavenly golden sauce, accompanied with fragrant garlic rice, and a ever tender medium rare slab of Australian beef.

We all had happy updates to share around the table but Ying had the most joyous news of all. She was positively beaming when she announced about her water baptism next Sunday which Daffy and I had already made plans to witness our best friend's finest moment. :)

The following evening was spent celebrating Nick's dad's birthday at the family-oriented Sangokai Japanese Restaurant along Upper Thomson Rd.

Freshness oozed from the palate.

Tried their signature Curry Cheese Baked Udon and I love it so much!

With my cute-as-a-button gorgeous in pink boyfriend.

If only the weekend was a lil bit longer. How I missed it already.

Hope you guys had a splendid week too!

Awake

Sleep escapes me tonight so here I am.

My lower limbs are burning insanely with itch. Thinking of what to wear tomorrow. Where the annoying crap is the mossie? It's pushing 2am and my meeting starts at 9.30. Why am I not asleep yet? I miss my friends, must pencil in a date. I ought to return to salsa soon, I love dancing. I've a million and two things to do, need caffeine tomorrow morning. Time to order my mooncakes soon. Shop for another red cardigan or jacket. Quit scratching the swollen damn legs. Sighs. I need to sleep. TGIF.

Just some premature thoughts running through my mind in dribs and drabs.

Tomorrow sounds crazy. G'night anyway and have a super weekend! :)
