Second chances

Once, I asked N over dinner if he believes in doling second chances. I was met with politically correct answers when he said "Sometimes" and "depending".

Does that mean the lucky person who gets a second chance gets to waste his first chance?

I am perhaps one such person who, if you gained favour and trust, throws caution to the wind and even believe in third chances. If such liberty should even exist...

Think harder before you do. Is all I'm saying.
