we stumbled into quarubar at dempsey after our Uni reunion dinner last night. i was there once upon a time with row and our barracks co workers but the atmosphere was different then. it was a work week and very quiet. i also spilled martini on my then-phone w880i and had to replace the mic.
last night however was a restful weekend spent with nice company, reasonably priced drinks, good lounge and bossa nova jazz and comfy seats. it was so chill i didnt thought of taking pictures. TL, Crys, Viv, Ter and Gillian were my companion for the night. in fact, i was really fatigued and mellow but the music kept me going. turned out the jazz singer was a lady friend of joshua (who's a friend of ericia and i). seems like lots of surprises sprung up last night.
a worthy mention perhaps would be my very prized Anderson souls. been catching up every so often and it's been nice every time. especially since we're also planning a trip for the first time. short getaway to redang island - im grabbing ericia along!
a couple more upcoming worthy mention would be sheena's home cooked dinner for us girls! omg im already salivating. i know she's a good cook but i've never had the honour of tasting her delicacies. im still pretty awed by how far our friendship has turned out. i feel blessed every time i see her and manda. they are like the nicest people around and they are both my best friends. sounds kiddish but it's true!
truth be told, i do have lots of best friends. i hope i'll always be blessed this way.
in fact, i've decided i want to be on my own for a while (translation: as long as i can). close friends will know/guess the reason without me saying. i've been genuinely happy for as long as i can remember but the heart's not a place i want to venture unless it's unlock.
i feel very in touch with myself these days. been having lots of weird dreams. coincidentally, i had a nice deja vu snippet at the reunion dinner yesterday which involved TL wearing a certain olive shirt, saying certain things and rendered a few speechless. sometimes i wonder about these deja vus yet the sweetest deja vu i once had left me well, torn.
on happier grounds, viv and keith kinda organized a council catch up sesh for the old birds like myself this coming wed. i said to viv that these little meet ups keeps us going. there's always something nice about reunions.
i was randomly looking through some old photos on my harddrive and shifted some photos to the 'Memories' folder i created and look what i found.
really old pictures of the Events council chalet!
we were playing some game with masking tapes.
looking mighty tan from head to toe.
Events body.
this is call "kicking the president's ass"
