A lovely reminder

A good story must be told and archived.

At church camp, we had the King's banquet. A theme night. We dressed up as we always do when we wanna be spontaneous. I decided I shall go as a bride. Pretty symbolic if you ask me, because it was mentioned in the bible that the church functions as the bride and we are all brides of Christ. Nick decided to join me and went as groom of course. After all, our marriage is centred on God. Made perfect sense to me.

On said day, we went as planned. It was the last night of the camp. Before we know it, Daniel called on us. And that was how we appeared on stage.

Daniel wanted to know our inspiration behind our concept and I said what I said. Something along the lines of "...king's banquet..so come as a bride, and Nick decided to join me as the groom"

It was then that nick took the mic and said these words that I'll never forget: "By the way, we are really husband and wife."

Roaring laughters erupted much to the amusement of everyone. I went wide eyed with amazement. The fact he felt a need to clarify a point was strangely warm and sweet. I almost went d'aaww!

After service ended, Nick got playfully jabbed at for his off-the-cuff liner.

And I was just grinning away like a little girl, thinking how blessed I am to be married to this man.

It's only been some 6+ years and how am I still so madly, deeply, truly in love with you is a wonderful mystery. We have our moments and sometimes it ain't pretty. If God is not working through our lives, I don't know who is.
