i love the rounded shape. maybe i should stick with it.
wont apologize for this bimbo-ness
attended this romantic-comedic play originally scripted by William Shakespeare call Much Ado About Nothing at fort canning last night. tickets were complimentary of cia's friend. i was pretty psyched about the play.
cia and our new friend, kim
we were awed by the contrast in skin colour in this one
our skin tones are going opposite directions!
with sweet kim
the intermission
cia and i bought a mat each for four of us. we didn't pig out like the previous time when i did another play with gid, ter and tl.
the beautiful set complete with pool all
it sounds silly but i cringed and then teared at one particular scene because the acting was really superb. i was pleasantly surprised at how they weaved the Nyonya culture so effortlessly into the play thus riding on the popularity of the said hit show. clever.
at the end of the play
which brings me to a certain play sometime this year circa two years ago in 2007. the play's called A Midsummer Night's Dream. same thing - fort canning, picnic style seating and open air concept. i loved it. and i still love it. but the girls much preferred indoor seating with air conditioning all. i just love the relaxed setting.
the following photos are exactly two years old.

we did the full monty with wine all and this was ter uncorking the wine
L-R: TL, Gid, Ter and Myself
we arrived there bright and early and still had lousy seats. we were shoved into the far end of the corner.
gid unfolding the mat
the huge white container carrying a bigass ball that rolled around in the audiences encouraging more interaction between the artistes and us. i loved the idea.
the long ramp was part of the stage setting as well

with TL and carrying gid's tissue box from his car (told you we did the full monty) haha.
my great company for the night
with the guys
(my earrings dropped at this moment)
thank God for collarbones
four bums on 1 mat cozied things up
comparing the play then and now, i think i laughed more this time round. adrian pang is brilliant. he literally shined in his play and i definitely look forward to more of his plays in future.
anyways, here's a picture of my new birthday bikini courtesy of manda.
