and so... this is how it feels like to graduate

i didn't know much about love but it came too soon
as we look back now will our jokes still be as funny?
and now we're all men and women of the world. - Vit C (Graduation)

receiving my conferment.

trudging towards mommy and stopping for a pose.

me and paper.

with mommy dearest.

her pride and joy im sure.

with sis.

salute.

my family minus dad.

mom wants a funky shot at wearing the trencher!

dear cat and i.

some silly rule about having to don skirts ignited the non-conformist in me thus i wore black stockings.

with ericia (and her family who were waiting patiently by the side while we camwhored)

blur ber!

funny frederick and crazily loving cat.

ericia and her paper.

me and mine.

L-R: gillian, ericia, me, carol

awaiting for our ceremony outside the hall.

the SIM fam!

camwhoring in the gowns' changing room with the assistance of one of those ladies in hot pink blazer (background).

looking mighty fine.

gid, cat and i brilliantly captured in the photo by ericia.

before the ceremony began we realized we were sitting in rather close proximity to each other and had the grand chance to snap shots like this.

Professor Ethan Choo looking so proper and handsome!

mucking around in the make shift changing room for graduands. someone asked me what a graduand was and i replied coolly that a graduand is a graduate just before conferment. BUT the point was, i wasnt totally sure. however it does make sense to me! anyway, the other point was we transcend from a graduand to graduate within mere seconds.

fooling about with viv's hoody.

happened to see kai wee in the same room as us.

refusing to look like a bore in an unflattering gown.

on the phone with viv.

the ceremony was long winded and i ended up nodding off during the welcome speeches by several chancellors etc.

but all was good when it ended and we proceeded to part 2 of the night for food, drinks and plenty of chatter and laughs.

i present to you the cutest couple other than cat and fred. well they were the only other pair of couple in the group. besides, no one else will disagree with me.

was having a nice conversation with terence when suddenly everyone wanted to take pictures with us and our discussion turned into a succession of group photos. just look:

L-R: sandy, gid, viv, me, tl

dined at shokudo, raffles city.

sitting across from us are:

L-R: sandy, col, gid, tl

with crystal, loof.

during the gown collection with zoee (holding the camera), we had a go at messing around with our get up. ericia looking totally passive or demure, whichever you deem it.

we were totally entertaining zoee and her camera.

candid.

zoee looking silly but lovely in a trencher.

dont say i didnt warn you!

the moment we waited for to do this

how does graduation felt like? it feels different for everyone i know. for me, it's like saying sayonara to the things we learned at school. yet not like an unkind farewell but a longing parting.

it doesnt make sense

i had a rough week. been sleeping very late every night because of one reason or another. just the other night i had a rather long chat with zoee and came to understand a bit more about myself. this girl chat is not to be underestimated. i never thought anyone could change my mind but she did.

i must be rather mad.

zoee had said things that made sense. but after having gone through a relationship for the third or fourth time, i now have clearer ideas of my future ideal. lets just say i am short of saying to be here at this moment in time and surrounded by good people is more than i have imagined.

God is kind to good people. whoever is over at the other side of the screen... please whisper a prayer for me. i need a gentle push in the right direction.

im so tired. but im happy. and oily. im extremely oily for a person on diane.

you wont get what i mean until i show you THIS PHOTO:

i cant believe i had just sat through an Ion Cell Spa treatment. at a somewhat dodgy shop house no less.

it is a painless detoxifying process that excretes toxin from different internal organs in the body and is akin to the endorsed plaster product by PCK that apparently attracts all the waste (aka positive ions) in your body via the sole of one's feet and replaces it with negative ions. how unbelievable i thought. but how intrigued was i by this crazy experiment that i couldnt say no. in the end, it was all a-okay and i expelled so much fats from my body i couldnt believe my eyes. LJ sniggered at me. i am officially an oily woman.

how could anyone have so much oil to excrete i wonder? maybe its all good too.

i know it looks highly nauseating because believe me, if it looks gross... try smelling it.

for the record, they had used clear tap water. the colour you saw indicated high levels of nicotine in my body. i was asked if i smoke but the answer to that is i am an unfortunate passive smoker because people around me smokes and there is nothing i can do but inhale the fatal tobacco smoke.

im planning on going back again no matter how dodgy the place looks.

things are all good on the work front and while its been a hectic past month, it had all been worth it. i gained some useful new knowledge and skills.

work on the spa front wore me out but it was a good experience and i picked up new insights on things in a general sense.

i had wanted to save my fish spa experience for ericia, cat and viv but i couldnt resist the temptation and hopped into one at my work place.

LJ's slender and very feminine hand.

the first few days saw the Garra Rufa jumping far above the surface of the water as they were only beginning to get used to their environment thus, the plastic sheets loomed over the edges to prevent the doctor fishes from accidental suicide.

here's a clip of my fish spa experience:

the results: skin were visibly smoother and brighter. also, the feet felt lighter (i have no idea why). the smooth effect is due to the Garra Rufa injecting tiny amounts of chemical into the skin as they nibbled away, causing the skin to feel silkier afterwards. my pair of feet is feeling mighty funky!

found this picture of terence and frederick and pulled a "photoshop" on it. turned out pretty fitting.

the colour coded affair during ericia's birthday some 2 months ago.

wishing i had slept earlier at the start of the week seems to be a cumulative ritual now.

a sunday without sun

i love sundays and i absolutely love the sun. but its been raining for the past few days and its irking me tremendously. i feel so cold even indoor that when i get outdoor, i thought of stepping back in again. in the end, i didnt even leave my house.

on a good note, ive been in decently cheerful mood. four months into taking D-35 and its finally paying off. i see improvement in my skin and its no longer as bumpy as before. in fact, its beginning to glow - okay maybe its also due to my tan fading off. no wait. what tan?? i dont have one anymore - and radiates. joy is me. skin improvement is everything to rave about in my case.

some marks are still there though. ive been taking this super expensive collagen drink that will eventually take care of the scars - given that as i grow older, my collagen production decreases. its not like in the past where i can have a huge pustule that scars but disappears as fast as it had happened. whoever said good skin lasts forever? well, not to me anyway.

i attended a work-related yoga conference recently and here's a clip to illustrate:

the yoga master in question is a fellow colleague who has helped me with my breathing problems since attending his yoga classes. he was an instant hit at the conference.

dined at sakura a coupla days ago with ericia. it was the same restaurant which we celebrated terence's birthday earlier this may.

my tom yum fried rice which tasted pretty alright but at $5nett, it didnt look all that presentable to me.

taking a mirror image shot when ericia walked away for a while. evidence of a rainy day with ericia's brolly hanging off the edge of our table.

ericia's crispy mee with prawns and fish pieces. i love this dish! its only $4. bernita had this dish when we celebrated terence's birthday.

the famous must-have dish. crispy chicken with thai chilly sauce. crunchy even after we attack it at the end of our entree. $8.

i took ericia along for aromatherapy at this Body Wellness place located at Stamford Court and while she didnt quite enjoy her session, i thought my therapist was great. i did my spa research while i was there too.

i had a great day despite the rain and should really bid good night for now.

GG

i finally caught up on the first season of Gossip Girl. now that im done watching it, i dont wonder to myself anymore why everyone's so hyped up about the second season even though it's not even out yet in the US of A.

for the record, i am beginning to find chuck fascinating. not totally unexpected given his bad boy charm. however, im neither into blair nor serena. rather, i watch out for lily (serena's beauty of a mom). i think she's really classy and i never get bored of admiring her melon seed face. i noticed serena got less attractive as the episode progresses on and blair appears chubbier towards the last few episodes, especially so after her secrets were revealed by GG.

overall a fun and captivating first season. i sure hope the second season will not disappoint.

brr. weather's cold. time to slide under the sheets.
